Ric Hawley founded Skillion PLC in 1980, creating a chain of small business units throughout the UK as Chairman and Managing Director before selling the business in 1990. Since then, Ric has successfully delivered a number of ambitious property development projects all around the world, including the UK, Australia and Poland. Latterly, Ric has completed a development of the Brakspear Brewery in Henley on Thames, delivering a mixture of commercial and residential units. Ric has a 26 foot Biddeford estuary boat moored on the River Thames.

Piers worked in the marine industry for many years, as a yacht skipper and RIB manufacturing and sales, before moving into IT, selling equipment and services into large companies and public sector clients. Piers is a keen yachtsman, owning a 21 foot Beneteau sailing yacht, RS Vision sailing dinghy and an Avon RIB, and holds a Yachtmaster Offshore certificate.
